PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THESE ARE ACCESSORIES FOR THE GAME, SO YOU WILL NEED THE BASE GAME MAIN BOX SET TO BE ABLE TO USE THESE PROMO CARDS. These are all in excellent condition and are a set of twenty original Turmoil Kickstarter promo cards for the brilliant Terraforming Mars (TFM) science fiction game. These are guaranteed original Terraforming Mars board game accessories. These were originally a Kickstarter exclusive but were later made available. Some of these cards in the promo pack are more useful than others, but all of them add something to the game. I've added these cards into my standard game, all bar seven of them. Those seven are the five global events, as they are special in that they allow Turmoil to integrate with the Venus Next and Colonies expansions. So only use those as necessary. The Political Alliance card is a fantastic card, but it is specifically Turmoil related, as it has a requirement needed to be played that is specific to the Turmoil expansion. Also I removed the Saturn Surfing card. The latter can be used, but it would be the only floater card in my entire game set that I use, so I feel that this should more be used if there are also other floater cards added. That way there is more to that specific genre of card type and they should balance out in game much better. The Law Suit is an excellent card! At first I thought Oarrggghh minus 1! Then I read it and thought Ooooohh! Looking forward to hitting someone with the lawyers. An excellent payback for certain other cards in the game. These cards are printed in English. There are 20 cards in the set, but you also get three blank cards and a Stronghold Games filler card. The Stronghold games card is at the front and I believe that there are some out there with a different image on them. This front card is to show the packers the language that the cards are written in. So regards:Energy Market. The X is key to how this card works. If you choose that option on the card, then you decide what X should be. If you choose that X is 3, then you pay 2x3 = 6 Megacredits (M€) to get X = 3 Energy cubes. You can buy any number of energy resources for 2 M€ each but, as with all blue action cards, the action is limited to once per generation. If it was only one energy that could be gained, then the card would instead say 2 M€ with a red arrow to 1 energy, and no X would be involved. Project Inspection. This allows you to make a motivating visit to one of YOUR projects. It works exactly like the Viron Corporation card's ability, from the Venus Next expansion. This means that the player can only use one of their own blue card actions. This will be a blue card with a large red arrow on it, as other blue cards affect something that is going to occur (in response to it), such as Titanium worth an extra amount or cards costing less to buy. Remember that the player has to have already used that specific action in this generation, not just the card. Some cards have a choice of different actions, and only one can be repeated, and only then if it has already been carried out. So, adding floaters or microbes to a card is a separate action from actually spending them. You could play the card immediately after having carried out the action to keep track of what you did, although tactically it might not always be the best move to do so, as the game developes throughout that generation.Stanford Torus. This city is separate from all other tiles (either in space or on the planet) so can have no adjacencies or any bonuses or game benefit due to them.Terraforming Mars really is a great game that is very cleverly designed, it plays well and retains interest. Players will need strategy, tactics and logic to win. It is a resources card game, but tiles are also used and player boards are there to keep track of the changing in game resources. The playing time is said to be 120 minutes, but I would say that was average to minimal time needed to play, as I've played two player games that took near 6 hours to finish. A better understanding of the rules lowers this, plus I'd feel that more players would reduce the time involved overall, as many actions reduce game length. it all depends on the cards that are drawn, and how the players play, as different tactics can pay dividends. Each player is in control of a competing corporation that is trying to tame the red planet. They each race to obtain awards and reach milestones before the other players.This game is ranked number 4 in the BoardGameGeek top games of all time rankings. To put that into perspective, that list has 17063 different games in it, so to come number 4 really is an achievement. Players in Terraforming Mars take on the role of giant competing corporations. Many cards also have requirements and they become playable when the temperature, oxygen, or ocean coverage increases enough. Buying cards is costly, so there is a balance between buying cards (3 megacredits per card) and actually playing them (which can cost anything between 0 to 41 megacredits, depending on the project). Standard Projects are always available to complement your cards. The cards played can then increase the players income, resources or directly contribute to terraforming the Red planet.
